About the 335 for NC Site
335 for NC was created to submit applications for North Carolina Extra Credit Grants to the North Carolina Department of Revenue. These grants will provide checks for $335 to eligible North Carolina families to help with remote learning and child care expenses incurred due to the pandemic.
Determining Your Eligibility
Your household may be eligible for a $335 North Carolina Extra Credit Grant if you:
- did not file a 2019 state tax return solely because your 2019 income was less than $20,000 for a married couple, $15,000 for head of household, and $10,000 for a single person, and
- lived in North Carolina for all of 2019, and
- had at least one qualifying child who was age 16 or under in 2019.
These requirements are explained in more detail on the application. If you already submitted a completed Extra Credit Grant application to the North Carolina Department of Revenue, you do not need to apply again.

Starting Your Application
To complete your application, you’ll need your (and your spouse’s, if applicable) Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), your child’s SSN, and your (and your spouse’s, if applicable) wage and other income information.
If you do not have internet access, our Call Center can help process your application. The Call Center is only equipped to assist people applying for the grant who do not have access to the internet.
